Agglomeration is the gathering of particulate solids into a conglomerate, whether accidentally or intentionally. This volume describes the binding mechanisms, structure, and characteristics of agglomerates, and the three technologies that are commonly used for the desired size enlargement of small particulate solids by agglomeration. The author compares the operation and results of processing by tumble-growth agglomeration, pressure agglomeration and sintering, and identifies the different types of machinery available for each method.
